ljdqWhile normally Reminder Thursdays are a semi-comical attempt to get everyone playing the quiz of the week, we'd like to offer something a bit deeper today.

angledge is doing a triathlon this summer as a fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is asking all Quizlings to consider donating a few bucks (Euros, pounds, or currency of your choice) to this cause. One of the reasons angledge took this project on is to honor the memory of her close friend & Quizling seolta, who died of cancer last January at age 32.
angledge has already received several donations from Quizlings, ranging from $5 to $150. Thank you to each one of you - you're helping her reach her goal of $5,000. If you'd like to make a donation, you can do so at this secure web page using a credit card. Any foreign currencies will be automatically converted into US dollars. The web page also features some comical photos of angledge swimming, cycling, & running in various locations around San Francisco.

It used to, in the glorious days of King Hossein, who, despite the strictures of Islamic law, enjoyed a good pun and the groaning that often went with it. He collected puns from all languages and of all forms- jokes, newspaper headlines, comics, no source too small. When he passed on, his family went on a hunt to find as many puns as possible to bury with him. At long last they came upon the Pun Vaults of National Lampoon, kept hidden from the reach of mortal men. Hossein's son asked his mother if they were going to steal the vault's contents.
