Do you hear that rumbling? That sound of an approaching stampede, rushing forward like an unholy juggernaut? It is time, telling you in no uncertain terms that Thursday is here, and with it the weekend approaches, and therefore you are losing more and more chances to play this week's hot-dog flavored quizzy delight. Not to be confused with Turkish Delights, which are horrible horrible candies. People from Turkey are far more delightful than those gooey horrors. But that's beside the point. I know some of you are new here, so welcome aboard; what better way to spend a lazy Thursday afternoon than tickling your funny bone and playing the [livejournal.com profile] ljdq? Come on, give it a whirl, it'll be a hoot.

In the meanwhile, I'm just going to get right to the point:

Go! Play! Take quiz!

Did you ever read this?

ROFL. We live in Kansas City, and had been gifted a box of Turkish Delight each last Christmas by a family friend who had recently visited London. I don't think she had tried any before she bestowed it on us -- if she had, she'd have taken it straight back to London to get a refund.

I don't need a pony, there's one in our field right now. *checks* Ok, maybe there isn't, but there usually is!

LJDQ is the only way I remember the days of the week. It also serves as a "Wow, another week just went by" reminder.

Did you know that they make a sweet exactly like Turkish Delight in Cyprus, but due to a strong dislike for the Turks they call them Cyprus Delights instead!! Still just as disgusting though! :D

Don't be hating on Turkish Delight! It is, indeed, delightful even if I'm the only person in America who thinks so.

Wait, I'm confused... are you eating the pony or the kid!?

Children taste worse than Turkish Delights unless you add ketchup and salt to them.... in my opinion, anyways.

I think whenever someone asks for a pony, you should give them a turkish Delight instead

You want some really foul candy?

...let's see...Necco wafers, those neopolitan candies from Brach's, Bit-O-Honey, Peeps, Circus Peanuts, and those faux-peanut butter things wrapped in either brown or orange that seem to pop up every Halloween are some of the ones that immediately come to mind.
