The summer has begun! Let all bow down and worship its sunny majesty. Unless you live below the equator, in which case, heeeeere's winter!

Summer and winter, of course, have nothing to do with this week's quiz, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't play. You should. You must! The fate of the universe is in your hands! Well, maybe not... but still. Playing is a good thing. A fun thing. It's right there before your eyes. Do not resist. Give in to your hunger. Play, or zombies will rise from the earth and nibble your ears off.

In other news, I had pudding this weekend. [livejournal.com profile] vulgarbarbarian has a well-stocked fridge, and so [livejournal.com profile] marasca and I were able to sample tapioca, caramel-vanilla, and triple-layer-chocolate Jello Puddings. Yum. Then [livejournal.com profile] marasca taught us an insane drinking game and we got loaded. Booze and pudding in the same night? What could be better?

Don't be fooled. They're actually quite mean. I eat them for the good of mankind.

That's right, eating something cute. Booyah.

PS- If any of you are gamers, I'll see you hard-core types at Origins next week. Bring it.

God, I wish I could be at Origins this year. I have too many other trips to afford it. :(

Only been to GenCon once, but it was fantastic. I want to make it back again soon. I also need to make it back to Games Day Baltimore sometime. So many cons, so little time!

GenCon? Is that something to do with transsexuals and others with gender confusion?

Summer is good. No more socks and shoes for me! It's bare feet and sandals until the snow falls again!

2 quarts water
1 (3 1/2-pound) whole raccoon, cut up
1 (15-ounce) can baby lima beans, undrained
1 (8-ounce) can baby lima beans, undrained
2 (28-ounce) cans whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
1 (16-ounce) package frozen baby lima beans
3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 large yellow onion, diced
2 (15-ounce) cans cream-style corn
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons hot sauce

Bring 2 quarts water and raccoon to a boil in a Dutch oven; reduce heat, and simmer 40 minutes or until tender. Remove raccoon, and set aside. Reserve 3 cups broth in Dutch oven. (Reserve remaining broth for other uses.)
Pour canned lima beans and liquid through a wire-mesh strainer into Dutch oven, reserving beans; add tomato to Dutch oven.

Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cook, stirring often, 40 minutes or until liquid is reduced by one-third.

Skin, bone, and shred raccoon. Mash reserved beans with a potato masher. Add raccoon, mashed and frozen beans, potato, and onion to Dutch oven. Cook over low heat, stirring often, 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Stir in corn and remaining ingredients; cook over low heat, stirring often, 1 hour.

Prep: 30 min., Cook: 6 hrs

WOO! Origins!

I'll be there as well. I'll be spending a fair amount of time running events either in the Looney Labs Big Experiment Lab or the Steve Jackson Games room, so feel free to stop by and say "hi"...

Answers submitted already.

And I don't eat racoons. They're too gamey.

It's certainly something that you don't deep-fry, though.
