OMG SOMEONE ELSE KNOWS ABOUT DENVER THE LAST DINOSAUR?!?! I thought I was the only person who remembered that show! *squeeeeeeeeee*

YEEEEES I KNOW ABOUT DENVER THE LAST DINOSAUR! WHO DOESN'T!

It was one of my favourite shows when I was a kid! :D I always touted that I wanted to be Denver when I grew up. And Sonic. And the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (Yes, all four of them. I didn't really care about the laws of feasibility at that time)

The worst is, now that I think about it, even then, I knew it was kinda crap. It just happened to be precisely the sort of crap I loved watching after school.

Lions Voltron, or cars Voltron ;) ?

Astro Boy was killed for me like that. I dared to revisit. Oh, the pain! The very palpable pain!

Gatchaman (the proper un-massacred version of Battle of the Planets/G-Force) however still managed to rock my adult world.

From: [identity profile] vayshti.livejournal.com
I do not know of Thundarr, but your response make me think this is not something to be rectified.

Gatchaman, in Japanese with English subs is worth it. It managed to capture that sense of childhood without the 'wanting to gouge my eyes out' voice of age and experience interfering. Can't go wrong with explicit violence, human death and catastrophe, a cross-dressing villain, and lashings of man-pain. Not to mention far too many mushroom clouds for a show with a reasonably strong eco-message.

I take exception to your thesis that Denver was crap. It had the best theme song of all time! And motorbikes! And Shades! And the creepiest and most incompetent money-making villain ever!

*wanders off, humming "Denver, the last dinosaur...he's our friend and a whole lot more!"*

Nope you're not the only one, although my mind didn't go there. The late 80s'/early 90s had a PLETHORA of bad cartoons...I also seem to remember one about a BABY dinosaur..he was friends with a turtle or something. Dinky??? I think was his name.

Hmm, one full, one half and one-ninth of a quote. I guess mathematically-speaking, [livejournal.com profile] i_calql8 beat me on this, but on absolutes, I clobbered him! Unless he got a groupthink somewhere as well, in which case I'll be crawling back under my rock, tyvm!

Sorry, but unless mentioned by name in the hiveminds, you don't appear on the official score tally.

And I should know. *points to self* Official LJDQ statistician here. :P

Therefore, on your scoring system, tie. On my scoring system, victory to me. Heh I wubs you anyways.
