All right, you slackers.
Aug. 4th, 2004 11:28 amDear LJDQ community members ~
Now, I know that in my absence this week, Hans gave us a LJDQ that was markedly more difficult than the two that preceded it. I tried the Quiz, & I only knew two answers (not counting #6). Judging by the tiny number of answers that have been posted so far, this Quiz intimidated quite a few of you.
Let me reiterate that it is NOT the point of the LJDQ to get right answers. If you don't know the right answer, give us something else. Free associate. Take
spiffington's advice, which is "Just write down the first thing that comes to mind & hit send before thinking it through!"
But it seems that everyone is so stumped by this week's questions that you all don't even know where to begin thinking of things to write. So, just for today, the rule against WEB CHEATING is hereby suspended. You may research these questions to your hearts' content. If you've already submitted your answers, feel free to send us MORE answers. But please don't just send us five ... correct ... answers. Nothing is more boring than a 100%.
Yours sincerely,
Ang.

Date: 2004-08-04 08:13 am (UTC)Even though I had no idea about answers for most of the questions, web cheating (well, AUTHORIZED web cheating anyway) is against the spirit of the DQ.
The problem with this batch of questions is that not only are they somewhat obscure, but they are also difficult to free associate into funny "wrong" answers.
Given the collective brain power of the LJDQ hosts, this sort of thing is bound to happen from time to time.
However, I still did my best to come up with something funny (which remains to be seen), everyone else should be forced to do the same.
This goes out to all the fair-weather LJDQ players...
Stop being a bunch of pussies and submit some answers, dammit.

And still get them all horribly, inconsolably wrong.
