The monkey isn't sad; he's confused by what he was expecting to be several rhyming words (oh, how he does love rhyming words!) but turned out to be 3 rhyming words and a non-rhyming word in another language. Being a Moroccan monkey, he does know a smidge of French, but he can't see how a non-Francophonic monkey would settle for a disruption of rhyme so obvious as this.
