Ah...comic/comic based character. I come from Backwater Lane, The Sticks, Countryside, England. If I'd grown up with a comic book shop in the local area then I might have had the best childhood ever.
Alas, I did not and my knowledge on comics and comic based characters is shockingly poor.
The guy who plays General Zod would still make a great Vetinari, though! (At least I had Pratchett in my local shops or I may as well have never left the womb)

Date: 2007-09-27 04:40 pm (UTC)Your assignment this weekend: Get thee hence to a purveyor of fine Videos/DVDs and rent yourself "Superman II". Truly a highlight of 80's cinema, featuring Christopher Reeve as The One True Superman and Terence Stamp as General Zod.
Come to think of it, rent and watch Superman I first. That would help.
(They do have videos and DVDs in England, right? ;-) )

Date: 2007-09-27 11:32 pm (UTC)If you're going to make some one watch Terrence Stamp, then by all means include "The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert". This is especially
true of anyone who thinks of Hugo Weaving as Elrond and Mr. Smith. :)
