It's a high-speed high-intensity workday, and I'm sure some of you are facing the start of a new school term/semester/year/somethingorother, but that should not deter you from playing this week's quiz. Don't let last week be your one and only or the top of your game; keep on trucking! There's more quizzes to be had, more points to be won and lost, and more pudding to be et. So let's bust a move!

No time to eat cuteness, although I did see a tasty-looking cat the other day. Mmmm, General Tso's.

See, this is why I love reminder posts. I was so caught up in moving back to Boston that I forgot about this week's quiz. THANK YOU, LJDQ. I BEAR PUDDING.

I'm currently listening to "O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings of Zion" but I'm thinking of rewinding back to "Surely, He Hath Borne our Griefs" because I kept getting interrupted during that one.

Have you noticed that nobody ever uses the word "zesty" to describe pudding? I wonder why that is.

I was so gonna pass on this week's quiz--offspring are a pain in the @$$, freshmen are getting on my last nerve, it's a week to payday, monsoon season in full swing AZ, and I just am not feelin' my funneh. But I know I'd regret it if I didn't, so I gave it a shot.

Btw, hit 16 against a dealer 10. You're more likely to win than if you stand on 16 (38% vs. 32%). Besides, my 12 does not need your stinkin' 5.

Most likely because pudding is not known for its herbs and spices. And I think it's better that way, don't you?

Kinda reminds me of the George Carlin one-liner: "Ever notice there aren't many Chinese guys named 'Rusty'?"

Thanks. Now I have "O Thou That Tellest Good Tidings of Zion" stuck in my head. And it won't go away because I'm not allowed to listen to music at work :(

I prefer playing Numa Numa on the iPod for people who haven't seen it, and watching the looks of shock and horror on their faces.

As a sidenote, have you ever tried the hash browns at Steak 'n Shake? They're totally latkes.

You're right. Bangles is much better. And this week there will be no Manic Monday. Gotta love Labor Day. What could be better than to celebrate working by not working?

My tasty looking cat, Tootie. She's nice and fat, too. Seriously, this cat weighs about 20 lbs.
That's a lot of General Tsao, man. She's part Main Coon and part Angora, which explains the hugeness.

Mmmm, Sam Ramey. I saw him perform at Brevard Music Center way back in the summer of 1986 (I was a student at their summer music camp).

I should get that recording!
