My utterly batshit crazy mother in law, whom I love to death, actually has a recipe (albeit never used) for Seal Flipper Pie. This is a traditional Newfoundland recipe. I know she has it, because my brother-in-law informed us during Christmas dinner that he had once phoned and asked her to read it out loud in order to win a bar bet.

It can't be any worse than her own invention "Hawaiian Style Beanie Weenies!" (add one can of NoName pineapple chunks and half an onion to NoName canned beans and NoName chicken weiners that were half price because they were getting close to the best before date!) "
