Pub Crawl Photogenicity!

So how did the NYC pub crawl go?



Well, first I awoke from my thousand-year slumber and emerged from my evil tomb...

...and made my way to the drinking facilities. fizrep was already on the premises...

...and, like the good quizling he is, promptly handed me a gin and tonic. Mmmmm, mmm, good. It was so good I went blind.

Shortly thereafter, vulgarbarbarian, katieledge, and shepholland joined the fray, as well as fizrep's LJ-less Latvian lover, Astrida.

Finally, our mighty pimpmistress, trishalynn, showed up, and the circle was complete.

We drank drinks at the Fat Black Pussycat. We ate at the Red Lion, while being serenaded by Jerry and Jason. We also threw french fries at each other. We made it to a third pub, the name of which escapes my then-addled neural net. No pudding was harmed during this event. And then, as age and alcohol took its toll, we broke for the evening, returned home to nurse our collective drunk-ons, and wondered what would happen next time. Maybe we'll have a picnic so the underage nondrinkers can come play next time. And we can feed them beer, and feel all corrupt and stuff. Ooohhhh yeah... but that's a plan for another time.

Thanks to all who celebrated with us, wherever they were, and we thank you for your support, in true Bartles and James fashion.

There was only one camera at the SF Pub Crawl, & it was a camera phone, & its owner did not know how to download photos from the phone. And, I've forgotten her LJ-handle.

Much happiness ensued. There was no drinking for me, but I got to see Pittsburgh based Thou Shalt Not (http://www.thoushalt.net/index.shtml), and spent the rest of the night lusting after Alexx, their lead. You know, since I wasn't in NYC to show off my undies and lust after chaosvizier.

I got RAINED ON BECAUSE MY DAMN TENT LEAKED.

Thanks to said rain, I drank an incredible amount of alcohol while sitting under a tarp and cursing the mosquitos. I even thought to myself "Self, I wish I was at the ljdq celebration."

Drinking does take the edge off of a chilly rain-soaked day. Warms the blood, and all. Of course, it's better around other drunkards, and even better when you're not rain-soaked, but that's beside the point.

I did exactly what I said I'd do on the tin. I took a buttload of painkillers and babbled about god to my Shih Tzu for a while, while some fashion show about makeovers and going an a date with the ambiguously gay duo was playing in the background. Dudley sure does debate well.

I was actually sitting in a theatre watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when the NY Pub Crawl started. So I suppose I stood by my answer when I said I would be celebrating with lots and lots of pudding.

And at eleven, when the LA Pub Crawl started, I was lining up for the first of three high-caffeine drinks at Borders while waiting for the release of Half-Blood Prince. The last drink I had that night was a cup of surprisingly bitter coffee which, despite any and all sugar additives, I could not get to taste any better. I think that, without the caffeine, it could have been very much like beer. So like I said, I celebrated in spirit.

(Though it was the Coca-Cola that I drank for scifantasy.)

As best I can figure, everyone in Christchurch showed up to the Christchurch event, bar one or two.

...And very few of us actually managed to find each other.

I'm slightly baffled; I thought my hair was a vivid enough blue that I would shine out like a beacon, but I quaffed many a drink, so all was well.

We also had LJDQ-themed questions. Such as, "On what street did the Great Fire of London start?" (Pudding Lane.) And so on. I love quiz. *snuggles quiz*

I'm sorry to have missed everyone, I was surprisingly okay all the way to what I thought was the right place.
On the topic of how I missed everyone, currently my best guess is that you meant for it to be Friday or Sunday at 4:00 and not Saturday. From the look of the place I was in and it's name I fairly certain I was where I was supposed to be if not when I was supposed to be there.
Apart from spending money I didn't really have I'm still glad I went out though, I can say I've drunk in a bar now. Yay me ;)

Hm.. *think* I think he does finally get rid of it, and then he eventually grows hair on his head, lol. Which looks REALLY weird, might I add. lol. I got addicted to Lost this year so I was somewhat neglectful of keeping up with my Stargate fandom, lol. Shame on me! *hits self* All my usual trips to stargate sites were replaced by lost ones. ;D
