All hail the barbecue, that wonderful method of meat making that heralds the onslaught of summer's summery ways. What does this have to do with anything? Not much really. Sure, Americans are getting ready for a nice long holiday weekend, which usually includes barbecues, but what really counts is that there's still a quiz up for playing, and that will make a good filler for when you're marinading your meat. If you know what I mean. And I think you do.

Brats, buffalo ribeye, deer chops, home cured bacon, and seven-meat/seven-bean/seven-pepper chili.

That's what *I* got planned for the weekend, anyways.

It's like a pork chop, but instead of being made of Wilbur or Babe, it's made of Bambi.

Or like a lambchop, but made of venison instead of Lambchop. If that makes sense...

Every year when I go home for Xmas, I take a cooler with me in my suitcase. And when I come back home, it is full of tasty tasty meat.

(Ooh, there was also talk of slaughtering and roasting a 100-lb pig this weekend, too! Can't forget that.)
