Here on the eve of All Hallow's Eve, the only thing more frightening than an armada of small children in disguise demanding sugary goodness is an armada of adults knowing that Saturday is Super Mega Discounted Candy Sale day. Mmmmm... cheap sweets. But what do do until that glorious day comes? Why, the obvious answer is to stretch out your funny bones and play this week's quizly goodness! It's nowhere near as scary as little tykes begging for candy. And it's funnier than hitting them in the head with rotten apples. Okay, I'm lying about that. But still, it's pretty funny. But only if you play! And even more so if you get others to play!

Meanwhile, BOO!

Go. Play. Take Quiz.

Oh my God I got two answers in the last quiz! First time, whoohoo!

Now I'm a little worried that the ghost there has come to haunt me... it's the spectre of last week's success, come to taunt me. Damn it, why can't you leave me alone?!?!

That is... surprisingly Macbeth-like. :) Do you know why my mind leaped to Macbeth? Because I have been studying for English. I will stab my eye out with a spoon or, possibly, a blunt pencil if one more person in my class asks me what a malapropism is.

Wow, this must be the Inspectre General! Kewl.

(Hopefully I won't be sent to the ghoulag for that pun...)

What's a malapropism?

Although I'm not in your class...

Excuse me? Best pun. :P

Y'know, if you scroll up and down real fast, the ghost looks like it's floating. oooOOOOOOooo, scarrrrrrry, kids.

malapropism: the purposeful mispronunciation of a word, usually for humorous effect. Taken from the character of Mrs. Malaprop from the play 'The Rivals'.

How do I know this? I have a phonographic memory.

See? That's a malapropism.

How sad. This ghostie was obviously on his way to a festive event of some kind.

I answered the quiz! My week is complete!

*laughing* Hope you're enjoying your Macbeth studies!

The icon is not surprisingly Macbeth-like, it's Intentionally Macbeth like! I direct plays for a living, and have a bunch of fun theatre-related icons.

Don't stab your eye out!

Your icon looks more like the 'Alas, poor Yorick' scene from Hamlet.

And because I like you, a t-shirt (http://www.mentalfloss.com/store/product.php?productid=16205&cat=103&page=1) that does pertain to Macbeth.

Thanks. My old lit teacher told me that comedian Norm Crosby used malaprop a lot. Knowing this fact confirms, that, yes, I am old.

Don't you love the kind and caring attitude towards my health?? (I'm a she, by the way)

And we had were supposed to be correcting an unintentional one in a practice paper, it was something like 'the case was hurt yesterday in the High court'.

And the example I always loved was: "She was eaten by a cannonball."

And the best example of spoonerism: "The choir teacher sucked her fingers."

Why not? It would be suitably tragic and anime-like. (A surprising amount of anime characters have their eyes stabbed out. It must be some kind of Japanese fetish.) Anyway, Macbeth is awesomely cool as a play but massively boring to read. I prefer Othello though - that's our Shakespeare setwork for next year and I went to see it and it is so totally cool. :)

I'm sorry, I just hate you because you're awesome.

No, I'm seriously bad with puns. Today in class we were revising Animal Farm and someone asked me for a definition of propaganda. I told them it was an upper class male goose. >

You could summarize the story by saying Ors-well that ends well.

You can hate my puns. You can even hate my awesome. Just don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

But you state it with love, so I'm okay with it. :-)

I was more afraid that I was the Ugarte to your Rick--
"You despise me, don't you, Rick?"
"Well, if I gave you any thought, I would..."
